Nicco Marchiol Describes His Visit to WVU

Morgantown, West Virginia – Four star quarterback Nicco Marchiol visited Morgantown, West Virginia for his official this weekend and every indication out of the athletic department suggests that the visit went beautifully!

Marchiol described his time at West Virginia University as “the time of his life” and thanked the university “for everything.”

Marchiol, a 6’2 quarterback from Chandler, Arizona, was one of the Florida State Seminoles’ prize recruits in the 2022 class, but he has since decommitted from there and now he has focused on three schools: Arizona State, Michigan State and West Virginia.

Based on recent social media posts, West Virginia appears to be the favorite to land not the talented four star quarterback but also several other highly-rated players who are friends with Marchiol.

In addition to meeting with the coaching staff and current West Virginia players, Marchiol also spoke to WVU President E. Gordon Gee, who he said left him “speechless.”

Although Nicco Marchiol will likely be offered the world from every big name program in the country – including his favorites Arizona State and Michigan State –  it appears that Neal Brown and his coaching staff really impressed him this weekend and likely vaulted to the top of his list of potential future schools.

No word on when Marchiol is expected to make his official announcement, but it could happen anytime and don’t be surprised if he decides to join the West Virginia Mountaineers as the quarterback of the future!
