MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, West Virginia back quarterback Nicco Marchiol announced that he will return to play for the Mountainers next season!
Marchiol, a 6’1 redshirt fresnman from Chandler, Arizona, was a four star quarterback and is the quarterback of the future at West Virginia. When Garrett Greene graduates after next year, Marchiol will likely be expected to take over as the new leader of the Mountaineers.
Last season, Marchiol was 30/53 for 247 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. In addition, Marchiol rushed 38 times for 133 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground.
Marchiol posted the following message on social media to announce his return: “I’m staying home! Can’t wait to work with Country Roads Trust and its supporters!”
