Morgantown, West Virginia – Bob Huggins announced moments ago on his weekly radio show that the West Virginia Mountaineers will not play host to the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Thursday, February 18th.
Huggins’ show was moved to tonight (Tuesday) and it was expected that this was because the Mountaineers would play on Thursday. Huggins said that he was trying to be proactive in case the game could happen.
However, it turns out that the game will likely not take place on Thursday.
Huggins said that there is a variety of reasons for the game not happening. Tony Caridi asked him what percent chance that the game could take place and Huggins replied, “About a 1 percent chance.”
The Mountaineers will next play this Saturday, February 20th at Texas.
