Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia University released its official depth chart for its upcoming game against TCU on Saturday and one player is noticeably absent.
Redshirt senior Scottie Young, who transferred from Arizona two seasons ago, was the starting safety for the Mountaineers this season before not traveling with the team to Baylor.
Young has 19 tackles this season but rumors have swirled around him in the past couple of weeks. One source within the locker room informed us that Young is “over football” and may not return to the team this season. If he doesn’t return, his collegiate career would likely be over.
Young is a key piece to the West Virginia defense and will hopefully be back on the field soon.
