Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers star forward Oscar Tshiebwe is having an incredible season with the Kentucky Wildcats and tonight, he broke the all-time record for rebounds in a game at the historic Rupp Arena.

Tshiebwe led Kentucky past Western Kentucky, finishing the game with 14 points, 28 rebounds and 3 steals in the Wildcats’ 95-60 win.

Tshiebwe, who admitted that he came in out of shape for the Mountaineers to start last season, averaged only 11.2 points and 9.3 rebounds before leaving the team. This season, he is now averaging 16.3 points and 15.4 rebounds, and is considered a lead candidate for the National Player of the Year award.
