Oscar Tshiebwe’s Next Destination

Morgantown, West Virginia – For Oscar Tshiebwe to remain in the United States, he will have to be enrolled in an academic institution.  Tshiebwe is originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and has a visa to play college basketball here.  If he isn’t enrolled in a university soon, he’ll likely be forced to leave the country and return to his home.

Having said that, the process of him finding a new home will happen rather quickly.  According to Gary Ferman, Publisher for Rivals CanesSport, Tshiebwe might be transferring to the Miami Hurricanes very soon.

Ferman said the following in an article released earlier today: “Sources tell CanesSport he is in Miami exploring a possible transfer to the Hurricanes.”

Miami is currently in last place in the Atlantic Coast Conference at 4-3 and 0-2 in conference play, and adding a five star prospect like Tshiebwe would be huge for their program.
