Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers star defensive player Adam “Pac Man” Jones has decided to enter the boxing ring.

Jones will compete next month, August 27, in Barstool Sports’ “Rough N Rowdy” in Charleston, West Virginia.

Jones, who will make his boxing debut, will fight undefeated (5-0) Rough N Rowdy champion Bobby Laing.

In a statement on Barstool Sports, Jones said, “Tell Bobby Laing I’m looking for him and I’m going to kick his ***!”

Jones will be a huge underdog, of course, against the far more talented and experienced boxer.

Jones, now 37 years old, retired from the NFL in 2019 and has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement during his time in Morgantown and as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jones was an All Big East and honorable mention All-American at West Virginia, and was the 6th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, but he has not been able to stay out of trouble off the field.
