Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia suffered a tough 85-80 loss at home to the Florida Gators yesterday, but at least one person still believes in the Mountaineers.
Former West Virginia punter turned media icon Pat McAfee posted the following message on social media following the game: “(Derek) Culver is a beast. Gather yourselves boys. Can’t win the Natty in January anyways. I mean, can’t be losing to the Florida Gators in basketball at home, but no big deal. Still going to be winning the whole damn thing.”

Despite losing to Florida at home, the Mountaineers are still 11-5 with one of the toughest schedules in the nation and will still be a Top 15 team when the new polls are released tomorrow. In other words, West Virginia remains in position to make noise when it really matters…in March!
