Peyton Manning Says Arch Manning is Headed to WVU on Monday Night Football

Morgantown, West Virginia – Former NFL greats Peyton and Eli Manning host a live show during Monday Night Football and they often bring on special guests during the show.

Last night, West Virginia legend Pat McAfee was the special guest.  McAfee, who is still a huge Mountaineers fan, asked Peyton Manning where his nephew Arch Manning was going to school and Peyton replied (jokingly, we think), “West Virginia.  He’s always wanted to be a Mountaineer.”

Arch Manning is a five star recruit and the #1 player in the entire 2023 class.  Manning has interest from every program in the country, but appears to have the most interest in Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss.

Following Peyton Manning’s “announcement”, McAfee immediately tried to recruit Arch Manning to West Virginia.

Several people went on social media to congratulate Arch Manning for his commitment to West Virginia thinking it was real, but it appears that Peyton Manning was simply having fun with Pat McAfee and was trying to get him excited with this announcement.

Although it’s extremely unlikely that Arch Manning actually ends up at West Virginia, a recruiting pitch from Pat McAfee couldn’t hurt Mountaineers’ chances and it is certainly good for the West Virginia football program.
