We have a fun week of Big 12 football ahead of us. Today, we share with you our picks against the spread for every Big 12 game in week four.
(All spreads are per FanDuel)
- Kansas State at Oklahoma, Spread – OU -27.5:
This game has all of the makings of a blowout. However, the Sooners winning by four touchdowns seems a little far fetched. Spencer Rattler still has yet to make a start against a legitimate team, and Kansas State really isn’t all that terrible despite losing to Arkansas State. Expect Oklahoma to win big, but not that big.
Pick: Kansas State +27 - Iowa State at TCU, Spread – ISU -2.5:
Honestly, it’s a little shocking seeing TCU going into this matchup as the underdog. The Cyclones looked horrible against Louisiana, and must make improvements quickly if they hope to compete against TCU. No matter if Horned Frogs quarterback Alex Duggan plays or not, expect TCU to cover and win outright.
Pick: TCU +2.5 - Texas at Texas Tech, Spread – UT -18.5:
Sure, Texas Tech is 1-0, but their defense looked horrible against Houston Baptist. This game is the easiest to pick, and we expect Sam Ehlinger to have a field day against the Red Raiders. Texas Tech will score, but it will be too little too late in what will be a monumental blowout.
Pick: Texas -18.5 - West Virginia at Oklahoma State, Spread – OSU 7.5:
It is no shocker that the Cowboys are the favorite, but after their poor performance against Tulsa, giving them a 7.5 point advantage is a little high. West Virginia has way more talent than the Golden Hurricane, and they will not squander the opportunities given to them. Oklahoma State may win this outright, but not by much.
Pick: West Virginia +7.5 - Kansas at Baylor, Spread – BU 17.5:
This would have likely been a much wider spread had Baylor played and won last Saturday. The Bears will be breaking in a new head coach in Dave Aranda, but at this point we’re convinced even the Morgantown Mohigans could even beat Kansas soundly. Take Baylor for the blowout in this matchup.
Pick: Baylor -17.5
