Player of the Game

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers (2-1) beat the 15th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies 27-21 to win the Black Diamond Trophy today, but the Mountaineers might not have gotten the win without the exceptional performance of our player of the game.

Jared Bartlett, a redshirt sophomore Bandit from Miami, Florida, was outstanding for the West Virginia defense today.  Bartlett was everywhere on the field today and had two huge sacks and one quarterback hurry in the second half.

The West Virginia defense gave up 333 yards total (227 passing and 106 rushing) in the win.

Congratulations, Jared, Bartlett, you are The Voice of Motown’s Player of the Game!
