Morgantown, West Virginia – According to a report by 247 Sports Dean Straka, the Big 12 Conference is reportedly targeting four schools to replace Oklahoma and Texas.
BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston. If West Virginia remains in the Big 12 and the conference adds these four teams, there is a chance that they will remain a Power 5 Conference.
Although not as sexy as moving to the ACC, this might be West Virginia’s best hope of remaining relevant and competing for national championships for years to come.
Also, imagine Dana Holgorsen bringing his Houston Cougars to Morgantown for a conference game!
