
With Josh Eilert set to be WVU’s head coach, one important piece of WVU’s championship hopes is expected to return.
Morgantown, WV – Earlier this evening, WVU officially named Josh Eilert the interim men’s basketball coach. Having spent several years as an assistant to Bob Huggins, Eilert was seen as the best option to keep the talented roster together for the 2023–24 season.
It now appears that this decision may have worked.
According to Mitch Vingle of Wheelhouse Creative, Arizona transfer Kerr Kriisa is expected to rejoin the Mountaineers after entering the transfer portal.

Vingle also reports that the staff is working to bring back Toussaint and Mitchell.
Jeff Goodman of Stadium states that he has spoke with Kriisa, and claims that the Arizona transfer will “take a little time to think about the situation…”
