Rich Rodriguez Moves to 2-0

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — After winning its first FBS game last weekend in an upset victory over UTEP, Rich Rodriguez’s Jacksonville State rolled to another victory this weekend, hammering East Tennessee State, 49-3.

“I thought we played okay today,” Rodriguez said. “I don’t think we played great offensively or even at moments on defense, but we did what we’re supposed to do.”

“Now we know the competition gets a whole lot harder,” Rodriguez added.

Jacksonville State travels to play at Coastal Carolina next Saturday. Coastal Carolina is 1-1 after losing to UCLA 27-13.
Rodriguez is now 11-2 overall in his second season at Jacksonville State.
