Morgantown, West Virginia – According to Football Scoop, former West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Rich Rodriguez will be named the next head coach at Jacksonville State University. A deal could be in place in the next 24 hours.
Rodriguez, who is currently the offensive coordinator at the University of Louisiana-Monroe under Terry Bowden, has a total of 163 wins as a head coach and is considered one of the brightest, most innovative minds in football.
Rodriguez will take over a a Jacksonville State Gamecocks program that finished this season 5-6. The Gamecocks will join Conference USA in 2023.
