Morgantown, West Virginia – Rhett Rodriguez, the son of Rich Rodriguez, was in the intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator following a hit during last Saturday’s game.

Rodriguez suffered a partially collapsed lung following the game. Last night, Rich Rodriguez provided an update on the condition of his son and it was great news!

“Wanted to give an update regarding Rhett’s health – He was released from the hospital this afternoon and is feeling much better now!  Thanks again to everyone for the outpouring of support!  It has touched us all!”

Rhett Rodriguez, who is the starting quarterback for ULM, suffered a hard hit from a Troy defender during the game.  Rodriguez finished the game 10/16 for 131 yards, 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions before being replaced following the injury.

ULM, who went winless last season, went on to beat Troy 29-16 to move to 2-1 on the season.
