WVU wide receiver Rodney Gallagher is new to Morgantown, but this has not kept him from trying to recruit the best to join the Mountaineers.
Morgantown, WV – This weekend, the Mountaineers hosted receiver Ric’Darious Farmer from Cocoa, Florida on an official visit.

Farmer, a 247Sports four-star prospect, has already committed to the Pitt Panthers. While the visit has not officially changed his mind, this did not keep one Mountaineer from trying to recruit him away from WVU’s arch rival publicly.

Mountaineer receiver Rodney Gallagher is new to campus, but he has let it be known that he thinks highly of West Virginia University. Earlier today, Gallagher reached out to Farmer via Twitter in hopes of convincing him to switch his pledge to the Mountaineers for the 2024 recruiting class.
“Slide to the other side.”
One can assume that Gallagher and Farmer have had conversations off of social media, too. Only time will tell if Gallagher can flip the Florida native to the Mountaineers before signing day.
