Rodriguez Nominee for Prestigious Award

Former West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez has had quite the resurgence in 2022. After a long hiatus from being a head coach, Rodriguez returned to the sideline this season at Jacksonville State.

Following a 5-6 record in 2021, Rodriguez led the Gamecocks to a 9-2 record this season – including a conference championship.

Rodriguez has now been named a nominee for the Eddie Robinson Award, which goes to the best head coach in the FCS.

If Rodriguez ever needed a resume to return to the FBS ranks, he is certainly building one up at Jacksonville State. For those who want him to return to WVU, the stars seem to be aligning perfectly – especially if he can win this award.
