Morgantown, West Virginia – Following West Virginia’s 4th consecutive loss – this time at home against the Baylor Bears – Bob Huggins was once again with his team’s effort and performance.

“We continue to miss free throws and we continue to miss two-footers. You can’t do that and win, man. I thought our guys gave it a great effort from that point, but we continue to put ourselves in a hole when we don’t shoot well and don’t rebound.

We just miss shots that we should make. They made open shots and we missed them. We’ve got to finish right at the rim. And again, we missed too many free throws. They made free throws at the end of the game. We did not make free throws. That was the game. Games in this league are going to be close and if we don’t make free throws, we’re not going to win many of them.

It came down to making free throws and finishing around the rim. That was the game. We have so much more to do.”

West Virginia is back in action this Saturday, January 14 at noon at Norman, Oklahoma to play the (10-6, 1-3) Oklahoma Sooners. The game will be televised live on ESPN.
