For those of you who may still be wondering if football can happen in 2020, your questions may have just been answered yesterday.

According to Zach Williamson of Local Sports 4 in Nebraska, the first football game was held in the United States since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday. It was the 62nd annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl, and fans were out in full force.

High School Football America (HSFA) would report that there were a total of 2,475 fans in the stand, none of which appeared to be practicing social distancing.

Should no spike in cases come from this game, could this be an indicator that football can happen in America this year? Only time will tell, but we are feeling good about it.
