Sean Boyle Enters the Transfer Portal

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, West Virginia’s reserve quarterback, Sean Boyle announced on his social media account that he is leaving the Mountaineers’ football program and entering the transfer portal.

Boyle, a 6’2 redshirt freshman from Charlotte, North Carolina, said the following: “I have entered my name into the transfer portal with 4 years of eligiblity remaining. Grateful for my time at WVU. Excited for the next opportunity!”

In high school, Boyle was listed as a 3 star recruit and was named the Southwestern 4A Conference Player of the Year at the conclusion of his senior season in 2022. As a senior, he led Charlotte Catholic to a 9-3 mark, as well as a 5-1 record in conference play to finish third, completing 112-of-164 passes as a senior for 1,941 yards and 21 touchdowns.
