Sean McNeil Makes it OFFICIAL

Morgantown, West Virginia – Sean McNeil had made official what we reported earlier today…he’s coming back for another year at West Virginia University!

McNeil, a 6’3 sharpshooter who averaged 12.2 points per game last season for the Mountaineers, previously entered his name into the 2021 NBA Draft with the possibility of returning to college.

McNeil shot 89% from the free throw line, 39% from three point range last season and is expected to be the starting shooting guard for the Mountaineers next season.

Prior to coming to West Virginia University, McNeil led the nation in scoring, averaging 29.7 points per game at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.

McNeil scored a season-high 26 points last season in a huge win on the road at Texas Tech.  McNeil’s return for his senior season is huge for a West Virginia team that has already lost Derek Culver, Emmitt Matthews Jr., Jordan McCabe and Miles “Deuce” McBride.
