MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA — Former West Virginia Mountaineers forward TAJ THWEATT has announced that he has committed to play for the Fairmont State University Falcons!
Thweatt, a 6’7 redshirt junior from Wildwood, New Jersey, played the 2020-2021 season for the Mountaineers, averaging only 0.4 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. He then transferred to Coastal Carolina for spring 2022 semester but did not compete. He then redshirted for the 2022-2023 season due to the NCAA transfer rule.
Last season, he played for the Temple Owls, where he competed in 11 games and averaged 0.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
Thweatt was really highly regarded out of high school, but has not been able to contribute in a meaningful way so far in college. Hopefully he shines at Fairmont State!
