Talented Recruit Could be Headed to West Virginia

The West Virginia Mountaineers had a huge recruiting weekend this past weekend with several big-time recruits visiting campus.  One such recruit is Daryl Porter, Jr., a 5’11 3 star cornerback.  Porter, who is from Fort Lauderdale, FL, played high school at the powerhouse American Heritage program.

West Virginia assistant coaches Travis Trickett and Jahmile Addae (his lead recruiters) visited Porter in his hometown last week and then Porter visited West Virginia over the weekend.

Porter holds offers from Utah, Washington State, Ole Miss, TCU, Baylor, Boston College, Iowa State, Penn State, Indiana, Louisville, among many other offers.

Porter will be a welcomed addition to a West Virginia secondary that was decimated by injuries and players entering the transfer portal.  The Mountaineers have also recently added JUCO cornerback Jackie Matthews Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and also hosted Safety Charles Bell VI from Gaithersburg, Maryland.
