Tavon Austin Set for HUGE Season with San Francisco

Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia standout wide receiver Tavon Austin has never fully realized his full potential in the NFL.  Austin, now in his 8th season in the NFL, had very solid seasons with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys, accumulating 215 receptions, 2,006 yards and 15 touchdowns in his first seven season, but Austin has never really broke out in the way that West Virginia fans know he’s capable of.

Austin, who joins former Mountaineers Kevin White and Colton McKivitz in San Francisco, has landed in a perfect situation with the 49ers.  Led by outstanding young quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the 49ers’ offense is an outstanding fit for Austin to really shine and showcase his incredible talents.

Austin was an two-time first team All-American at West Virginia, finishing his remarkable career with 288 receptions, 3,413 receiving yards and 29 receiving touchdowns, as well as 1,033 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground.

Tavon Austin had one of the most spectacular careers in West Virginia football history and he is very capable of re-creating what he did in college in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers now.
