Texas Has Hired a New Head Coach

Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, Jeff Goodman announced that the University of Texas has hired former Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard as their new coach.

Beard, 48, was the 2019 AP Coach of the Year and has a 207-84 career record.

Beard is a graduate of the University of Texas and will now return to coach at his alma mater.  Former Longhorns head coach Shaka Smart recently left Texas to become the new head coach at Marquette.
