Texas head coach Tom Herman has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons lately. Following his team’s 23-20 loss to the Iowa State Cyclones last Friday, the heat was cranked up on his seat in Austin. As we move into the closing portion of the 2020 season for the Longhorns, it appears that those with the deepest pockets are ready to see Herman’s time with the Burnt Orange end.
#Texas brass is prepared to move on from Tom Herman, we’re told. Where do the Longhorns turn to? Is Urban Meyer a real option for UT? Here’s our story on that and much more: https://t.co/fnN91YMPfv

According to Bruce Feldman, a reporter for Fox Sports and a writer for The Athletic, the “brass” of the Texas Longhorns is “prepared to move on from Tom Herman” at the conclusion of this season. Feldman would include in his tweet a link to an article on The Athletic that lists twenty names to pay attention to during the coaching carousel.
Herman took over for the Longhorns in 2017 following a lackluster Charlie Strong era. Despite being the hottest name during the carousel that year, Herman simply hasn’t worked out for the Longhorns. There has been no indication as to when we should expect a decision on Tom Herman’s fate, but with how the news surrounding the situation is trending, we should expect a new face roaming the Sidelines for Texas next season.
