Oklahoma once again blew a double-digit second half lead, but were able to hold on for the 8-point win in a game that saw four overtime periods.
Texas Quarterback Sam Ehlinger helped orchestrate two touchdown drives in the final four minutes to tie the game, 31-31. The Sooners and Longhorns would them trade possessions with both missing a field goal in the third overtime.
Oklahoma was able to score a touchdown and a two-point conversion in the fourth overtime to go up, 53-45 – and would never surrender the lead. Tre Brown intercepted Sam Ehinger’s last pass and finally put this game to bed.
Both teams are now 2-2, and 1-2 in conference play. The Big 12 is shaping up to be wild, and we are only getting started.
