Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, the Texas Longhorns defeated the TCU Horned Frogs, meaning that the West Virginia Mountaineers are now the 4 seed in the Big 12 Tournament and will play the 5 seed Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 1st round on Thursday, March 11th at 11:30AM.
The Mountaineers, of course, lost to Oklahoma State on Saturday without the Cowboys’ two best scorers, freshman sensation Cade Cunningham and junior guard Isaac Likekele. On Thursday, both Cunningham and Likekele will likely be available to play.
If the West Virginia can get past Oklahoma State on Thursday, they’ll likely see the #1 seed Baylor Bears on Friday evening in the next round of the Big 12 Tournament.
