The Coliseum Will Soon Get a New Scoreboard

Moments ago, West Virginia University announced that they will finally replace the old, antiquated video scoreboard that hangs above the WVU Coliseum floor.  Fans that have attended West Virginia basketball games over the past several years are very aware that the current video board was desperately in need of an updated version.

Although no depiction of what the future video scoreboard will look like has been released, LSU’s monstrous scoreboard above their arena floor is considered the largest and perhaps most updated in college basketball.  LSU’s scoreboard features two sideline high-definition screens that each measure 42 feet by 21 feet for a total of 882 square feet of video space per board.

Hopefully West Virginia’s new scoreboard will be similar or even better than the one above.  Regardless, anything is an improvement to the one that is being taken down in the Coliseum now.
