The Future Has Arrived in Morgantown

Morgantown, West Virginia – The future of West Virginia football has finally arrived!

Nicco Marchiol, the highly-touted four star freshman quarterback out of Chandler, Arizona, participated in his first practice with the Mountaineers yesterday.

Marchiol, Arizona’s Gatorade High School Player of the Year last season, is in a three-way battle with Garrett Greene and Will “Goose” Crowder for the starting quarterback position, and Marchiol has already established himself as a leader on the team.

In addition, in the short clip that West Virginia University provided yesterday, Marchiol certainly looks the part on the field, throwing a beautiful cross-body pass to redshirt sophomore wide receiver Reese Smith during his first practice.
