The Game of the Century

If you look back at WVU Men’s Basketball since the beginning of the 21st century, you will obviously choose the 2010 Final Four matchup against Duke as the most important game for the program. Sadly, the Mountaineers fell to the Blue Devils that night over a decade ago, 78-57. While it was something extraordinary to be on the stage of the national semifinals, the loss surely dampened things for Mountaineer Nation.

Since that moment, fans have been waiting for a game of the same magnitude. Of course, multiple wins over highly-ranked opponents since then have been exciting, but none have quite held the magnitude that WVU’s game against the 3rd-ranked Baylor Bears has on tonight.

The Mountaineers are in prime position to earn a top seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Tonight’s game against Baylor gives West Virginia the chance to prove themselves worthy of being recognized as one of the top programs in the nation. This game may not only set WVU up for big things this season, but also down the line.

Tonight’s game against Baylor is the biggest game of this century. It’s time to get excited and be proud of all that our boys have done!
