Garrett Greene is the hero of the week for the Mountaineers. Coming in off the bench, the Tallahassee native led WVU to their first ever victory over Oklahoma in the Big 12 Conference.
While it was certainly his moment to shine, he’s not the first speedster to come off the bench and become a star in Morgantown. For those old enough to remember, Pat White did it himself all the way back in 2005.

White, who is now an offensive assistant with the Los Angeles Chargers, tweeted following the WVU victory on Saturday.
“We gave you the blueprint.”
And that is exactly what Pat White and the Mountaineers did way back when. They set the standard for what happened at Milan Puskar Stadium yesterday.
Only time will tell if Greene becomes a star or not. However, the odds seem to be in his favor, for sure.
