The West Virginia Mountaineers are off to a great start and are winning big in the first half of the game against the Texas Longhorns.

In addition to the team being up big, two players that have gone through tremendous struggles lately have finally had a great half.

Sophomore Emmitt Matthews, Jr., who had shot 5-28 over the last seven games, has 8 points on 2-3 from the field and 1-2 from three point range, while also adding 4 rebounds in the first half.

Sophomore Jordan McCabe, who has struggled from the field for most of the season, averaging 3.1 points while shooting 25% from the field and 17.5% from the three point line, currently has 7 points on 3-4 from the field and 1-1 from the three point line.

These two outstanding Sophomores playing well and contributing is a key to the success of the Mountaineers, and it’s really great to see them playing like we know they can tonight!
