Morgantown, West Virginia – With redshirt senior quarterback Jarret Doege likely to return to play for the Mountaineers next season, and Will “Goose” Crowder and Nicco Marchiol on the team, rumors of redshirt freshman Garrett Greene leaving the team and entering the transfer portal have been rampant.
Greene, who has been Doege’s backup this season, is 16/26 (61.5%) with 147 yards passing during limited time for the Mountaineers.
Two days ago, Greene posted a cryptic message on his personal Twitter account that read: “God’s timing is never off.”

Today, Greene posted next season’s newly-released schedule on his Instagram account, which could certainly mean that he intends to return for another season at West Virginia.
Greene, a former four star quarterback out of Tallahassee, Florida, has shown moments of real brilliance in West Virginia’s offense and could be a major weapon for the Mountaineers for several years to come if he decides to return.
