Tomorrow is a HUGE Day for WVU Football

Morgantown, West Virginia – Tomorrow is the day that West Virginia Mountaineers football fans have been waiting for!

Four star quarterback Nicco Marchiol makes his decision on his birthday, June 21st, and it could be a decision that alters the course of the WVU football program forever.

Yes, West Virginia landing Marchiol is that big.

Marchiol, a 6’2 quarterback from Chandler, Arizona, was one of the Florida State Seminoles’ prize recruits in the 2022 class, but he has since decommitted from there and now he has focused on three schools: Arizona State, Michigan State and West Virginia.

Based on recent social media posts, West Virginia appears to be the favorite to land not the talented four star quarterback but also several other highly-rated players who are friends with Marchiol.

Although he clearly enjoyed all of his recent official visits, West Virginia is the clear leader.

Arizona State was considered a heavy favorite to land Marchiol because he was originally from Arizona, but they currently under intense NCAA investigation for recruiting violations and the coaching staff could be fired before Marchiol gets on campus.

Marchiol described his time at West Virginia University as “the time of his life” and thanked the university “for everything.”  In addition, virtually every college football recruiting expert has predicted that he will wind up with the Mountaineers.

Although landing Marchiol will be huge, he’s also expected to bring several talented friends with him to Morgantown, including four star linebacker Travious Lathan, four star athlete Jaden Mangham, three star athlete Christion Stokes, among several others.

Today is West Virginia Day, but tomorrow could be the day that shapes the Mountaineers football program forever!
