Kansas City, Missouri –  The West Virginia Mountaineers lost a tough game in the Big 12 Tournament, falling short against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 72-69.  The Mountaineers had a six point lead at halftime but couldn’t match Oklahoma State’s intensity in the second half.

The Mountaineers were led by an outstanding performance for Miles McBride, who finished with 19 points and 5 assists.  Derek Culver, who was clearly very sick throughout the game, had 11 points and 7 rebounds in limited minutes, and Taz Sherman added 14 points off the bench.

The Mountaineers will now have to wait for the NCAA Committee to decide their fate in the NCAA Tournament.
