Tshiebwe Ranked as Top Transfer Player

Morgantown, West Virginia – ESPN recently ranked the top transfer players in college basketball and former West Virginia Mountaineers standout Oscar Tshiebwe ranked right at the top of the list.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, is the #1 ranked transfer player in the nation this season.

1. Oscar Tshiebwe, 6-foot-9, 260 pounds, PF, sophomore, West Virginia
Committed to Kentucky
Tshiebwe was one of the best big men in the country as a freshman, but struggled through 10 games this season before leaving. He ultimately chose Kentucky over Miami, Illinois and NC State.

As a freshman, Tshiebwe led the Mountaineers in scoring (11.2 points per game), rebounding (9.3 boards per game) and blocks (1.0).  He has finally settled in to his new home and will be eligible to play for the Wildcats starting next season.
