MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, it was officially announced that Darian DeVries will leave the West Virginia basketball program to become the next head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers!
That was obviously bad news for Mountaineer Nation, but more bad news followed soon after. Senior forward Tucker DeVries, Darian DeVries´ son, is expected to follow his dad to finish his career at Indiana.
Per Jeff Goodman: ¨Darian DeVries is also expected to bring with him his son – Tucker, who when healthy, is one of the better players in the country. The 22 year old forward shut it down after 8 games due to an ongoing shoulder issue. He was the two-time Missouri Valley Player of the Year and was averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season. He´s also a 37 percent three point shooter.¨
