MORGANTOWN, West Virginia —This is a big week for West Virginia.
Ross Hodge and his staff are bringing in two major transfer portal targets, with Amadou Seini set to be on campus Monday and Texas A&M transfer Josh Holloway visiting on Wednesday. And make no mistake… both of these guys would be real additions to this roster.
Let’s start with Seini.
He’s a 6-foot-10, 240-pound center who brings size, strength, and experience. Originally from Cameroon, Seini has built a reputation as a physical presence inside who can rebound, protect the rim, and do the dirty work. Last season, he averaged around 10+ points, 7+ rebounds, and over 1 block per game, showing he can produce while also anchoring things defensively.
He’s not flashy, but he’s effective.
And that’s exactly what WVU needs more of.
Now to Holloway.
The Texas A&M transfer guard brings a different type of value. He’s got good size for a guard, can handle the ball, and has shown flashes as both a scorer and playmaker. He averaged around 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during the 2024-2025 season, and still has multiple years of eligibility remaining, which makes him even more appealing.

He’s the kind of guard you can develop and build with.
And with the amount of roster turnover WVU has had, that matters.
Speaking of that…
This roster is being completely reshaped, but there’s already a strong foundation starting to form. WVU has added Javan Buchanan from Boise State, a proven scorer and experienced forward. Finley Bizjack, a talented guard who averaged 17.1 points per game at Butler last seaosn, and they’ve also inked Mouhamed Sylla, a former Top 20 recruit and one of the more athletic bigs in the portal.
Now it’s about finishing it.
That’s why visits like this matter so much.
Seini gives you size and toughness inside. Holloway gives you versatility and depth in the backcourt. Both fill needs, and both are the type of players who can help right away.
The bottom line?
This is a big week in Morgantown.
And if WVU can land one… or both… of these guys, this roster is going to take another big step forward.
