The West Virginia Mountaineers, who lost several key players in Neal Brown’s first season in Morgantown, lost two walk-on reserve players today.
Former Martinsburg High School Bulldog Adam Stilley, a redshirt sophomore offensive lineman, entered the transfer portal today. As a Freshman last year, he did not play and only played in one game this season against Iowa State. In high school, Stilley was a two-time all-state center and team captain of the 14-0 state championship-winning Martinsburg High School team.
The other West Virginia player to enter the Transfer Portal today was freshman punter Matt Daniel. Daniel, from Richmond Hill, Georgia, was a preferred walk-on in the 2019 class.
It’s unlikely that either player would see significant playing time in the near future so these are certainly not key losses for the Mountaineers.
