Ultra-Talented Tight End Could Follow Graham Harrell To West Virginia

Morgantown, West Virginia – Immediately after it was announced that Graham Harrell would be the next offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach for the West Virginia Mountaineers, USC’s starting quarterback and five star prospect, Jaxson Dart, announced that he would enter the transfer portal.

Minutes later, Michael Trigg, a 6’4 245 pound four star player out of Tampa, Florida, posted on his social media that he intends to transfer from USC as well.

Trigg, who finished this season at USC having played in six games, making four starts for the Trojans. He caught seven passes for 109 yards and a touchdown during his freshman season.

Trigg was the #4 ranked tight end prospect in the 2021 class and committed to play for USC in both football and basketball.  However, he suffered a gruesome knee injury during the football season that sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

When Michael Trigg is healthy, he could be an incredible addition for a West Virginia team that lacks depth at the tight end position. Following his former offensive coordinator and potentially his starting quarterback makes an awful lot of sense for him.
