Update on Star Guard Kerr Kriisa

Morgantown, West Virginia – Star transfer guard Kerr Kriisa is currently in Morgantown and from all indications, he has very much enjoyed his visit. Kriisa has been seen in multiple locations throughout Morgantown with West Virginia guard Jose Perez, who is hosting him during the weekend.

Kriisa, a 6’3 guard from Estonia, is known for his brash personality and fiery temperament on the court, and averaged 9.9 points and a PAC-12-best 5.1 assists per game while shooting 77% from the foul line and 37% from three point range last season at Arizona.

Kriisa is considered one of the top players in the transfer portal and will gain significant attention from top programs around the country, but it appears that he has narrowed his interest to West Virginia and Xavier. Xavier’s head coach, Sean Miller, coached Kriisa at Arizona and has major interest in bringing his former player to his new school.

With that said, On3.com has listed Kriisa as 100% likely to end up transferring to West Virginia. Bob Huggins has prioritized Kriisa in the transfer portal with starting point guard Kedrian Johnson graduating and if he’s able to bring Kriisa to West Virginia, he will have likely found his new starting point guard.

Kriisa, who has two years of eligibility remaining, is one of the finest true point guards in college basketball. He is tremendous at distributing to teammates and can shoot the lights out from three point range.
