After two positive COVID-19 tests, “The Pride of West Virginia” Marching Band will not be in attendance for today’s WVU-Baylor matchup.

The cases were found during safety checks last night, per the team’s Facebook page. Contact tracing is “under way” and has officially disqualified the group from performing at today’s game.

This comes after the band was reportedly practicing yesterday for today’s event. COVID-19, as always, is a fluid situation and can change anything at any given time. Today is just West Virginia’s day to suffer the social side effects from contracting the disease.
