Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers star wide receiver Tavon Austin now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. Last week, the Jaguars played at the Indianapolis Colts.
Colts’ player Nyheim Hines was caught on camera during pregame warm-ups expressing how much Tavon Austin meant to him growing up.
“Hey, is that Tavon Austin? I swear that’s him. I’m about to get a jersey off him. I used to watch his West Virginia highlights every day. Every day! I’m going to go talk to him. I’m going to try not to fangirl. That’s my dog. I’m trying to figure out if that’s Tavon Austin or not. I swear I wanted to be him ’til I was like 21.”
Hines finally caught up to Hines and said the following: “Look, I gotta dap you up, man. You a GOAT, bro. I watch your highlights every day. For real.”
Austin is in his 9th season in the NFL and his first in Jacksonville. Austin has 7 receptions for 67 yards for the Jaguars so far this season.
