Morgantown, West Virginia – It’s now official! Four star quarterback Nicco Marchiol has officially signed to play football for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Marchiol, a 6’2 quarterback from Chandler, Arizona, led his Hamilton High School Huskies (11-1) to the state semifinals, finished his remarkable high school senior year with 2,666 yards, a school record 37 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions.

As a four year starter during his high school career, Marchiol was 637/942 (68% completion percentage) for 8,261 yards, 90 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.  He also rushed for 1,295 yards and 24 touchdowns during his high school career.

But Marchiol is much more than just mere stats.  He’s a leader, an incredible recruiter for the football program, a talented passer, but more importantly than anything else, he’s a winner.

Marchiol will now enroll at West Virginia University and start classes early next month, and will compete for the starting quarterback position for the 2022 season.

WELCOME HOME, NICCO!
