WATCH: The Moment Miles McBride Was Drafted in the 2021 NBA Draft

Morgantown, West Virginia – Miles “Deuce” McBride slipped out of the 1st round of the 2021 NBA Draft, but was taken 36th overall in the second round by the New York Knicks.

McBride held a draft party at his former high school, Moeller High, in Cincinnati, Ohio, with several friends and family in attendance.  Although McBride didn’t go quite as high as he expected in the draft, he was clearly thrilled and relieved to be taken by the Knicks.

The New York Knicks are team that doesn’t have a lot of depth at the guard position, so McBride could get meaningful playing time early in his career.  Playing in the Big Apple in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, is a tremendous opportunity for McBride!

Congratulations!  The New York Knicks just got 1.8 million new fans!
