McBride held a draft party at his former high school, Moeller High, in Cincinnati, Ohio, with several friends and family in attendance. Although McBride didn’t go quite as high as he expected in the draft, he was clearly thrilled and relieved to be taken by the Knicks.

The New York Knicks are team that doesn’t have a lot of depth at the guard position, so McBride could get meaningful playing time early in his career. Playing in the Big Apple in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, is a tremendous opportunity for McBride!
Congratulations! The New York Knicks just got 1.8 million new fans!
The Knicks also added @WVUhoops G Deuce McBride
“Deuce is a winner who brings toughness, a love for the game and is a true professional,” West Virginia assistant Larry Harrison told me. “The Knicks got a good one!” https://t.co/WDaerr0JQQ
