Ames, Iowa – The West Virginia Mountaineers needed a big game from star forward Tre Mitchell in order to upset the Iowa State Cyclones and instead likely got the worst performance of his entire career.
Mitchell, who is averaging 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers this season, went 0-5 with 0 points and only 2 rebounds before before ejected after throwing an elbow that knocked down an Iowa State defender late in the second half.
