Notes
- There are some surprises in our power rankings. I know, I know…why is WVU so high considering the coaching change? Well, with the influx of talent in the NCAA Transfer Portal, as well as the experience of Rich Rodriguez and his previous success at WVU, it is our belief that the Mountaineers will be the surprise of the Big 12.
- Arizona State, being the defending conference champions, take the top spot. Talented quarterback Sam Leavitt returns, giving the Sun Devils the added boost that they need in order to repeat as champions in 2025. They are currently our favorite to win the league.
- Colorado is a team that could potentially plummet in the prior rankings prior to the season. Head Coach Deion Sanders is heavily favored as a candidate for the Dallas Cowboys job. Should he leave Boulder, the Buffaloes will be back to square one and in the cellar of the Big 12 Conference.
- Iowa State is a team to look out for as a squad that could make a run at the College Football Playoff. Gone are Higgins and Noel at receiver, but there is enough talent returning for the Cyclones to return to Arlington in December.
