West Virginia Among Top Ranked Teams in the Country According to Ken Pom Rankings

Morgantown, West Virginia – Following wins against quality opponents South Dakota State, VCU and Western Kentucky, the West Virginia Mountaineers are currently ranked as the #6 team in the country according to the Pomeroy College Basketball Rankings.

KenPom rankings measure efficiency of all 353 Division I teams and helps predict how each team will fare game to game based on advanced statistics when matched against opponents.

The only teams ranked ahead of the Mountaineers currently are Gonzaga, Baylor, Duke, Villanova and Kansas.

West Virginia is scheduled to play the #1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs this Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:00PM in the Jimmy V Classic.  The game will be televised on ESPN.
